Waterdrainage System and Fish Ponds

Today we dug our first pond. We did a good job on planting different flowers and shrubs around the pond and the new stairways and trails. Next week we carry on with a biological water filtration system. Lot of work to do before the big rains.

Hi, we are a german, english and spanish speaking family  living our dream of a self-sufficient life in Costa Rica.
Just starting to develope an eco community on our 20 acre finca.
In the future we would like to serve as a permaculture center for our Tico neighbors.
We already started with reforesting a part of the finca, planting fruit trees and crop, building henhouses and a wooden platform to enjoy the view and relax in a hammok. 
Now our plan is to build an earthbag dome, based on the concept of calearth.org. We are open for volunteers to stay with us, help us and learn about building earthbag houses,  permaculture gardens, planting trees, organizing fiestas in our pueblo and much more.
Nearby activities can include tours of hot springs, river tours, hiking, visiting waterfalls and surfing at the beach.
You will be staying in the Tico house on our finca, which is simple but nice.
Working hours are 6 hours a day, 6 days a week.

We are an chemical-free household, so please do not bring anything which is not organic…such as shampoo, soap, shower gel...

The minimum stay is one month and the cost is $400 per month including lodging and meals.
